I've been considering building a camera with various different parts I can't imagine the firmware would be too hard to get right on a tablet-style setup with a camera attached

Unrelated to cameras but related to DIY, I've wanted to make my own synthesizer so I can make funny shit like Aphex Twin or do crazy prog shit like Rick Wakeman (aryan, btw)

Not really but I know that's at least a much more commonly done thing and most likely much easier. pretty sure there's a decent selection of premade pcbs that you can make into functional synths with out a whole lot of effort if you're willing to learn a bit about electrical engineering

I think the main thing blocking me from doing this is I'm really bad at math, I have a lot of fundamental fields in math that I still don't know or understand fully, but otherwise I think I would love to do something like that. I'm relatively good at English and language so I don't think I'm full on retarded, geg

pretty sure that's a relatively easy DIY project if you feel comfortable learning how to flash github repos, synthesizers are such simple tech that there's undoubtedly dozens if not hundreds of open source options

I mean I've seen a lot of stuff being tossed around, it's understanding what goes on in the hardware, and what piece of hardware does each thing that I think I need to learn more about

If you want to go really simple like I said you could just buy a premade PCB, there's some synths that are basically just a single board and all you'd have to do is a little soldering for the hardware and memory

analog is definitely more kino, I bought an expensive synth but I realized I have no idea what I'm doing or how to compose anything so it's basically just a very expensive toy I barley use. trying to diy it on the cheap would probably have been a smarter way to go
